She was predeceased by: her parents, Emory Holcomb and Melba Viola Kennedy Holcomb; her sons, James Emory, Richard and Roy Higginbotham; and her siblings, Imogene H. Dye, Mable Holcomb and George "Bud" Holcomb.
She is survived by: her children, Eddie, Dennis Higginbotham, Rebecca Harris (Perry) and Melba Jackson; and her sisters, Mildred McCulloch and Shirley Daley (Jerry). She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family members.
