He was predeceased by: his wife Erma Jean Griffith; his parents, Andy Griffith and Eva Garner; his grandchildren, Adrian and Brandy Banks; and his brother Coy Griffith.

He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Liddicoat and Cyndi Jones (Jeff); his grandchildren, Jason Banks (Emily), Lydia Eaton, Cayden Eaton and Damion Banks (Mercedez); and his brother Ronnie Griffith. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
