We are sad to announce that on May 12, 2021, at the age of 83, James Douglas Murphree of Oneonta, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Murphree and Autery Goodwin Murphree; and his sisters, Conette Earnest (Bill) and Helen Hartley. He is survived by: his wife Dian Murphree; his children, Natalie Rudd (Nathan), James Everett Murphree and Melissa Davenport; his granddaughter Abigail Gregerson (Justin); and his siblings, Marcelle Whited (Gene), Doris Foster (Butch) and Norris Murphree. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
