He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Edwin and Ruby Novella Byram Fortenberry; and his sister Jeanie Fortenberry Vaughn. He is survived by: his close friends, Gene Hanson (Joyce) and Jerry Graben (Debbie); and his niece Debbie Vaughn Caporaso.
