It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gay J. Hawkins of Oneonta, Alabama, who passed away on August 3, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Nell Allred Hawkins; his parents, Jessie Allan and Mollie Dover Hawkins; and his siblings, Ralph Hawkins, Bill Hawkins, Edna Kent, Hope Garrison and Rebecca Hawkins.
He is survived by: his children, Frank Hawkins (Wanda), Steve Hawkins (Sandy), Dale Hawkins (Dawn) and Ginger Wood (Tracey); and his siblings, Richard Hawkins (Carolyn), Dorothy Horton, Mary Lou Bates, Bobbie Jean Jackson (Don), Carolyn Dunn (Robin), Kathy Ward (Dayl) and Patricia Kelly. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren.
