She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Edward Walden and Gladys Marie Griffin Walden. She is survived by: her husband Robin Burgett; her sons, Alex Burgett and Austin Burgett (Meagan); her grandsons, Bowen, Griffin, Ezra and Oliver; and her siblings, Alice Higginbotham (Rodney), Mary Cummings (Eddie) and Mike Walden (Lynn).
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lemley Funeral Chapel (6878 2nd Ave W, Oneonta, AL 35121). The lying in state was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Masseyline Church of God (4109 Masseyline Church Rd, Pinson, AL 35126). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the women's ministry of Masseyline Church of God is encouraged.
