We are sad to announce that on September 24, 2024, at the age of 71, Douglas Van Lovelady of Oneonta, Alabama, born in Birmingham, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Buck Lovelady and Topsy Lovelady; and his siblings, John Harvey Lovelady and Lisa Gardner. He is survived by: his wife Leslie Lovelady; his daughters, Avery Marie Lovelady and Kasi Kidd; his mother-in-law Frances Smith; his siblings-in-law, Charlotte Lovelady, Cindy Knight (Larry), Brad Smith (SueAnn) and Kelly Smith (Tarah); and his nieces and nephews, Traci Helms, Staci Merrifield (Johnny), April Wheeler (Joe), Curren Osborne (Garrett), Allen Lovelady (Shannon) and Carson Smith (Emily). He is also survived by great nieces, great nephews, and a vast number of special friends.
