He was predeceased by: his parents, Okey Smith and Beatrice Owens Smith; his uncle Smokey Smith; and his brother-in-law Roger Naylor. He is survived by: his wife Judy Brakefield Smith; his children, Daniel Smith (Renea), Paula Bruce (Mark) and Rebecca Armstrong (Jerry); and his siblings, Randy Smith and Betty Naylor. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lemley Funeral Chapel (6878 2nd Ave W, Oneonta, AL 35121). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
