She was predeceased by: her parents, Bennett Battles and Josie Tidwell Battles; her husband Stancil "Shorty" McWaters; her daughter Cressida "Chris" Blair; and her siblings, Ross, Pharon Battles and Opal I. White.
She is survived by: her children, Donnie McWaters (Carol), Vila Davenport (Ron) and Sheila Milligan (Glenn); and her siblings, Eugene Battles (Christine) and Glenda Sims (Dan). She is also survived by ten grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
