He was predeceased by: his daughter Juanita Hawthorn; his parents, K. N. Sloan and Lucille Lowe Sloan; his brother K. N. Sloan, Jr.; his sister-in-law Bonnie Sloan; and his sister Juanita Sloan.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Gargus Sloan; his son Craig Sloan (Angie); his grandchildren, Brandi Blackmon, Steven Sloan (Megan), Jamie Hendrick, Marcus Hawkins, Tori Milam and Brooklyn McMurray (Zach); his brother Marvin Sloan; and his sister-in-law Gail Sloan. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
