He was predeceased by: his wife Romalda Duarte Cedillo; his son Elodio Duarte; his grandchildren, Romalda Duarte and Alfredo Duarte; and his brother Martin Duarte.
He is survived by: his children, Alfredo Duarte (Maria Luisa Duarte), Santos Duarte (Alifonsa Duarte), Apolinar Duarte, Teresa Lopez (Leobardo Lopez), Eustaquio Duarte (Eva Maria Duarte), Petra Duarte, Jilberto Duarte (Maricela Duarte) and Maximiliano Duarte (Maria Duarte); and his siblings, Onesimo Duarte, Albino Duarte and Jose Duarte. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
