He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Murray and Stella Ruple Murray; his wife Doris Murray; and his siblings, Marvin, Ward Murray, Letha Robinson and Lela Harrison.

He is survived by: his children, Ronnie Murray (Becky), Rev. Dale Murray (Donnette), Rev. Roger Murray (Kathy) and Rev. Danny Murray (Sonjia); his grandchildren, Amy Cardwell, Jonathan Murray (Sarah), David Murray (Jennifer), Jeffery Staton, Catina Diggs (Pat), Chad Murray (Alecia), Jeffrey Murray (Krystal), Kristy Trent (Michael), Alecia Murray, Bethany Neighbors, Kailey Thomas (Kyle), Dana Armstrong (Glenn) and Stephen Murray (Yvonne); and his siblings, Luvena Bellew, Carolyn Wilson, Judy McBurnett (Jack), Laura Gilliland (Dewayne), Francis Waddell and Bertie Johns. He is also survived by twenty-six great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
