With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Brent Lee Yates (Oneonta, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 17, 2025 at the age of 54. Though Brent Lee may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Brent Lee touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Barbara Beth Bowers Yates and Bobby Lee Yates; and his sister Beth Lucinda Yates. He is survived by: his wife Delila Yates; his daughter Beth Anne Yates; and his sister Brooke Yates Lanier McCoy. He is also survived by extended family members and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Lemley Funeral Chapel (6878 2nd Ave W, Oneonta, AL 35121). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
