He was predeceased by: his parents, Ibry Shirley and Thelma Shirley; his wife Hildegard Parris; and his granddaughter Kaitlyn Ruth Shirley. He is survived by: his children, Barry Shirley (Miranda), Darlene Ledbetter (Steve) and Shannon McCray (Scot); his grandchildren, Brittany Ledbetter, Ashton Riley (Nic), Bailey Harvey (Tyler), Bobby McCray, Brandon McCray, Jacob Logan and Colton Hill; his great grandchild Sutton Riley; his brother Bennie Shirley (Jean); and his close friend Deloris Tygard. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lemley Funeral Chapel (6878 2nd Ave W, Oneonta, AL 35121). A memorial service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In honor of Bobby's love for his dog and two cats, the family asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Animal Adoption Center of Blount County.
