With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Bernhard I. Echt of Oneonta, Alabama, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Erna Scharnitzki Echt and Salomon Echt; his sister Eva Echt Fleischmann; and his former wife Pia L. Seleuthner Echt. He is survived by: his wife Doan M. Dorough Echt; his sisters, Ruth Echt Meyerstein and Sara Echt Kohn; his children, Bernhard D. Echt (Elfriede), Daniel S. Echt (Angelica), Blake Farmer (Sherry), Marty Farmer (Amy) and Katharina V. Echt (C. Don McCall); and his grandchildren, Bernhard Echt (Leslie), Phillip A. Echt (Summer), Daniel Echt (Deirdre), Christopher Echt (Lisa), Janel Bean, Justin Farmer (Frances), Kyle McCall, Meagan King (Brandon), Kaylan Ladosky, Anzlee Farmer and Eason Farmer. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren.
