She was predeceased by: her father James Marvin Casey; her sisters-in-law, Donna and Debra Casey; and her pet Zuko. She is survived by: her husband Van Heflin; her mother Clara Bell Casey; her children, Tracy Heflin and Jesse Heflin (Rachel); her grandchildren, Emma Grace, Ally May, Chance, Willow and Atticus; and her siblings, Rose Battles (Steven), Larry and Dale Casey (Jenna).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the college fund for Emma Grace Kindsfater.
