She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Woods and Hatti Woods; her sisters, Alice Joyce Edmondson and Emma King; her brother-in-law Mike Edmondson; and her nephews, Edward Woods and Robert Fields.
She is survived by: her husband Frank Hambright; her children, Dr. Michele Hambright Bowie (Kivie), Aunastasia Hambright, RN, Katrell Hambright and Frank Hambright Woods; her grandchildren, Latosha Chatman, Kara Bowie, Xavier Vinson, Kario Veal, Ryauna Garrett, Victoria D'Ambrosia, Legend Love Robinson, Natylia Chatman, Kamiyah Chatman, Kortae and Kiren Adams; and her brothers, Willie James "Butch" Woods and Robert Walter Woods. She is also survived by five great grandchildren, many nieces, nephew and cousins.
