He was predeceased by: his parents, Cooper Turner and Bessie Turner; his son Michael Joseph Turner; and his siblings, Willie Ronald Turner and Peggy Jo Turner.
He is survived by: his wife Melda Littlejohn Turner; his children, John Turner (Cynthia) and Amy Hudgins; his grandchildren, John Michael (Destiny), Joseph, Krista, Tiffany, Cheyenne, MiKayla, Butch, Ben and Cassey; his great grandchildren, Goku, Anna Marie, Aliyah and Lily; and his siblings, Cooper, Sandra Turner and Brenda Turner. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
