She was predeceased by: her father Charles Briggie; her sister Gatha Cardinal; her grandparents, Lizzie Goode and Alex Goode; her nephew Heath Taylor; and her aunt Dorothy Howard (Hershel).

She is survived by: her husband Scottie Colvin; her children, Ryan Burns (Jeremy), Michele Colvin, Kevin Colvin (Aimee), Kenneth Colvin (Nilawan) and Kendall Hester; her mother Joyce Briggie; her grandchildren, Hope Whitehead (Tyler), Lincoln Burns and Lauren Burns; her uncle Bob Briggie; and her cousins, Mike Howard (Cynthia) and Keitha Wicklund.
