She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Melvin Freeman; and her siblings, Irene Herring, Mannon Herring, Bernice Reeves, Memphis Herring, Eunice Lankford, Vann Herring, Iva Mae Herring, Anderson Herring, Carl A. Herring, Ollie Sue Edmondson and Henry Herring.

She is survived by: her son Phillip Freeman (Michelle); her sister Ophelia Triplett; her grandchildren, Hayley Freeman and Zachary Freeman; and her great grandchild Kylie.
