He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Simpson and Bertha Simpson; his brother Lewis Simpson (Cooter); and his nephew Terry Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Martha; his son Jay; and his sisters, Betty Simpson and June Pike (Eddie Pike). He is also survived by father and son were each other's best friends.
