He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Choat; his parents, Perry Hutchins and Mattie Hutchins; his sisters, Myrtle Wise, Lora Mae Bradford and Frances Mary; and his nieces and nephews, June Hudgins Sides, Kenneth Moody, Elvis Moody, Bobbie Fulmer and Alvin Rogers (Betty).
He is survived by: his son Michael Choat; his grandchildren, Stephanie Baker (Bruce), Christine Choat, Samantha Choat Bell, Justin and Matthew Baker; his great grandchildren, Mazie Ava Bell and Margo Emory Bell; and his nephews, David Rogers (Lisa) and Steve Rogers (Betty).
