He is survived by: his children, Teresa Brooks (Frank) and Steven Venable; his grandchildren, Michael Brooks (Kiesha), Leeanne Mooney (Thomas) and Leah Armbrust (Bryan); his sisters, Jessie Garrison and Faye Garrison; and his close friend Frances Graham.
