He was predeceased by: his wife Nelda June Coupland; his parents, Lester Coupland and Elizabeth Coupland (Bessie); and his brother Dr. Joe Coupland. He is survived by: his son Michael A. Coupland (Jeanie); his granddaughters, Ginger Gilbert (Jeremy) and Beverly Armstrong (Alex); his great grandchildren, Jackson, Kinslee, Ellison Gilbert, Allee and Caroline Armstrong; and his sister-in-law Betty Perry.
