He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Herron and Evalene Herron; and his brother Joe Herron. He is survived by: his wife Myra Herron; his children, Melissa Massey (Todd), Jerry Blackston and Stephen Blackston; his sister Linda Woods; his cousin Brad Martin; his close friend Mike Fondren; his grandson Matthew Odom (Destinee); and his great grandchild Annabelle.
