It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Marlene Hyde of Oakman, Alabama, born in Phil Campbell, Alabama, who passed away on September 17, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband William Lemuel Hyde; her parents, Royce Wamsley and Shellie Wamsley; and her siblings, Kenneth Wamsley and Fayrene Wamsley Alongi.

She is survived by: her spouse Lem Hyde of Bear Creek, AL; her children, Bill Hyde, Aquilla Hyde Beck, Cecelia Hyde Utley and Regenia Hyde Stockton; and her grandchildren, Shellie Hyde-Classen, Jason Hyde, Zachary Beck, Makali Beck, Roxanne Beck-Flynn, Nicholas Utley, Leslie Kaas and Jamie Stockton.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Midway Church of Christ or William L. Hyde FFA Scholarship Fund.
