With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Larry Payne in Oak Hill, Alabama, who passed away on March 8, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Payne and Alline Payne; his siblings, Dan Payne and Kathren Ashley (Don Ashley); his siblings-in-law, Fred and Wanda Moring; his nephew Darren Payne; and his mother-in-law Pearl Moring.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Moring Payne; his daughter Leigh Dunn (Brett Dunn); his grandsons, Aiden and Jaxon Dunn; his daughters, Stephanie Bonner and Heather McDermott; his grandson Aden McDermott; his sister Tammie Abernathy (Jan Day-Legere); his siblings-in-law, Ted, Dot Moring, Linda and Johnny Bailey; and his close friends, Jimmy Payne and Bobby Reynolds. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
