He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Simons, Sr. and Carrietta Spruill Simons; his wife Alberta J. Simons; his daughter Doniece Dudley; his brother Gene Simons; his children, Ramona Cox (Hobson) and Silas Crawford, Jr. (Karen); his grandchildren, Charles Dudley, Chaurice Greer (Michael) and Arcola Mallard; his siblings, Lauretta Marie Simons and James Simons (Margaret); his great grandchildren, Chadwic Foster, Javier Dudley, Arrian Mallard, Zhamia Mallard and Lia Rogers; and his great great grandchild Ayden Foster. He was also cherished by his sister-in-laws, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
