She was predeceased by: her husband John M. Powell; her parents, Woodfin Duncan and Effie Duncan; and her sisters, Virginia Duncan, Opal Kennedy, Imogene Houston and Johnnie Lake.
She is survived by: her sons, John F. Powell (Anita) and Michael Powell (Heather); her grandchildren, Miranda McKee (Tyler), Lori Burroughs (Scott), Wes Powell and Matt Powell; and her great grandchildren, Reece Burroughs, Will Burroughs, Logan McKee and Bennett McKee.
A graveside service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Tuscaloosa Memorial Park (5434 Old Birmingham Hwy, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404).
