With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edgar Leon Ivey Jr. of Northport, Alabama, who passed away on January 24, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Ivey; and his children, Davie Higginbotham and Emily Ivey. He is survived by: his children, Cathy Norred, Helene Sanford, Ray Ivey and Eddie Ivey; and his grandchildren, Delaney Ritter, Jason Ritter, Lena Townsend and Jameson Sanford. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
