He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas Ammons and Nettie Newsome Ammons; his wife Shirley Lee Ammons; his son Jeffery Roger Ammons; his grandson Brandon Wilson; and his brothers, Ovie Lee Ammons, Frank J. Ammons and Kenneth Ammons.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kelly Focht (Sam), Patty Knight (Bill) and Wanda Messer; his siblings, Jane Potts and Emmett Ammons (Betty); and his close friends, Emelie and Roger Woodham.
