She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Lewis Petty and Izzie Weathington Petty; her husband Thomas Byrd Pitts, Sr.; her sons, Gary Bruce Pitts and Thomas B. "Tommy" Pitts; and her brothers, Charles L. Petty and David Petty.
She is survived by: her pets, Presley and Bernard; her nieces and nephews, Sonja Petty Adcock, Eric Scott Petty, Charles L. Petty, Jr. and Christina Petty Patterson; her cousin Danny Weathington (Shirley); and her caregivers, Michelle, Kay and Gwen.
