He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin David Haywood and Bessie Lee Chandler Haywood; his former wife Ethel Juanita Parker Haywood; his son David Anderson "Andy" Haywood; and his siblings, Ann Adams, Leo Haywood and Theo Haywood.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Greer Haywood; his daughter Linda Thomas (Bill) of Rogers, MN; his sister Agnes Jones; his grandsons, Clayton Thomas (Kate) and Cory Thomas (Lauren); his stepgranddaughter Dawn Carpenter Clements (Daniel); his great grandchildren, Holden Thomas and Rowan Thomas; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Andy Clements, Katie Beth Clements and Annie-Sarah Clements.
