She was predeceased by: her parents, William Preston Clark and Vernelle Messer Clark; her daughter Carrie Denise Merritt (Norman Joseph Benson); and her sister Judy Clark Bynum. She is survived by: her children, Leslie Watford Verghese (Mathew) and Darrell R. Watford (Leigh) of Newville; her sister Sarah Clark Holley (Joey); her grandchildren, Shelby Hulen Watford, Audrey Watford Burroughs (Luke), Nathan George Verghese, Nicholas Mathew Verghese and Andrew Thomas Verghese; and her aunts, Winnie Murray, Lutrelle Ham of Panama City, FL and Georgia Whiddon.
