She was predeceased by: her parents, William Robert Smith and Julia Marie Crane Smith; and her niece Martha Ellis. She is survived by: her husband S. Navy; her children, Gayle Carter, Tammy Deal (Randall), Ricky Brackins (Della) and Wade Brackins (Janet); her grandchildren, Timothy Brackins (Jessica), Joseph Brackins (Priscilla), Julie Caesar (Gavine), Kevin Deal (Lizzy Jacobs), Mark Deal, Andrew Brackins (Alexandra), Rachel Brackins (Fisher Martin), Nathan Brackins (Peri), Lydia Brackins, Amy Peterson (Brett), Gary Carter, III, Drew Carter, Hayden Carter and Hope Culpepper; her great grandchildren, Lillian, Isaac, Brittley, Braylee Kate, Coleton, Valen, David-Lee and Arabella; her siblings-in-law, Evie, Craig Netherlands, Leon, Charlotte Jackson, Tommy, Debbie Jackson, Don and Bobbie Jean Jackson; and her son-in-law David Knowles.
