We are sad to announce that on September 13, 2021, Mardell Dell of Newton, Alabama, born in Atlanta, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Harvey Hawkins and Pauline Mixson Hawkins; her husband Broward Dell of Sylvan Grove, Alabama.; her brothers, Samuel Mixon Hawkins and Edwin Clarence Hawkins; and her grandson Jonathan Brock Wofford.

She is survived by: her brother William R. Hawkins (Beth); her children, Jerry Danny Dell (Sue), Sandra Miller (Newton), Susan Cole (Clint) of Fort Payne, AL, Helen Young (Newton), Ethel Campbell (Ponte Vedra Beach) and Millie Koonce (Robert) of Baytown, TX; her grandchildren, Dan Miller (Lisa), Pam Tyner, Phillip Wofford, Carmen Rodgers (John), Rodney Cole (Terri) and Jim Koonce; her great grandchildren, Ellana Newsome (Norman), Tyler Miller (Katlyn), Rebecca Brooks (Joey), Lauren Crutchfield, Lindsey Crutchfield, Phoenix Sims, Skylar Chadwick (Hunter), Taylor Wofford, Grace Cole, Abigail Cole, Amelia Rodgers and Charlotte Rodgers; and her sister-in-law Edith Dell. She is also survived by twelve great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Newton United Methodist Church, 209 East King Street, Newton, AL 36352.
