He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Earl and Lallie D. Mathis Welch; and his sisters, Mary Harrison, Vivian Bond and Carol Stephens.
He is survived by: his wife Judy McVay Welch; his children, Jeff Welch (Bertie) and Donna Lindsay (Jerome); his stepchildren, Jeff Pybus (Jeannie) and Jamie Pybus (Kristie); his grandchildren, Justin, Travis, Landon, Amanda, Stephanie, Brittney, Jaydan, Kalista, Ima, Callie, Hailey, Leighann and Holly; and his siblings, Eileen Miller (Jimmy), Brenda Kent (Gerald), Nell Baker (Bill), Janet Bond (Larry) and Frankie Gilmer. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
