He is survived by: his wife Syble McLaney of Newton, AL; his children, Lynne Spooner (Jamie), Angie Hicks (Brent), Russ Dastrup Salt (Char) and Frankie McLaney (Melissa); his grandchildren, Courtney Buchanan of Wellford, SC, Marlee Hicks of Chelsea, AL and Grayton McLaney of Newton, AL; and his sister Clariece Cole (Alan). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
