As Vickie Jo departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Vickie Jo. Though Vickie Jo may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Billy Joe and Gaynell Williams Cofield; and her sister Myra Yarian. She is survived by: her husband Buddy Candler of Newell; and her son Dustin Candler of Newell.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Benefield Funeral Home (17624 US-431, Wedowee, AL 36278). The lying in state was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Union Baptist Church (7645 Old Hwy 431, New Hope, AL 35760). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
