He is survived by: his wife Ginger Milstead of Newell; his children, Sonja Patterson (Damon) of Mt. Zion, GA, Chad Milstead (Erin) of Newell, Gene Milstead (Kristy) of Fort Worth, TX, William Hawkins (Theresa) of Woodland and Myke Pumadera of Carrollton; and his siblings, Margie Hester (Ken) of Lineville and James Milstead (Virginia) of Lineville. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
