It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Vernon Edwards of New Market, Alabama, who passed away on December 19, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Edwards and Clattie Edwards; his sons, Vernon Wayne Edwards and Randall Hoyt Edwards; and his siblings, Willie Rube Edwards and Mary Lou Marfisi.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Edwards; his daughter Janice Loveday; his grandchildren, Erik Loveday, Erin Pugh, Amber Edwards, Chad Edwards, Wesley Edwards, Stephanie DAlessandro and Kylie Quimby; and his siblings, Charles Junior Edwards, Larry Edwards and Jean Swanson. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Hazel Green Funeral Home (13921 US-231, Hazel Green, AL 35750). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
