He was predeceased by: his significant other Annette Whisenant Smith; his parents, Joe Ed Smith and Clara Mills Smith; and his grandmother Eliza Ann Smith. He is survived by: his siblings, Lela Ann Holder, Faye Bankston, Carolyn Diane Swinford, Amanda Smith Hobbs and Phillip Smith; his close friends, Rex Stewart, Eddie Barbour and Jodi Sledge; and his nieces, Dena Smith Liveoak and Tasha Hobbs. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
