She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest Burton Jr.; her father Julius "Bud" Kelt; her brother Jerry Kelt; and her daughter Cassandra Faye Burton (Faye). She is survived by: her mother Annette Montfort Kelt of Waco; her sister Genie Kelt of Huntsville; her daughters, Elizabeth Burton of Waco and Katherine Burton Carter (Taurean) of Huntsville; her grandchildren, Aaron Giles Jr. of Huntsville, Kierra Giles of Huntsville, Kamaria Carter of Huntsville and Trenton Adams-Burton of Waco; and her pet Joker. She is also survived by grandchildren in Nashville, Tn, many great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends.
As she became physically unable to volunteer, she began to make financial contributions to causes such as the Wounded Warrior Project, America's Vet Dogs, the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Veterans of Foreign Wars and many other causes that were dear to her heart.
