He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Ray Dempsey and Angela Robin Birdsong; his grandparents, Bobbie Junior Birdsong, Patricia Jo Wilson, Junior Lassister and Shirley Lassister; his uncles, Mark David Birdsong, Martin Allen Birdsong, Brian David Birdsong and James Lassister; and his aunt Dayle Dempsey.
He is survived by: his son Chase Jacob Dempsey; his stepson Brandon Lee Kim; his aunts, Robin Evonne Birdsong and Bobbie Jo Birdsong; his uncle Micah Adam Birdsong; and his close friend Amber Whitsett.
