With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Patrick Michaels of New Market, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 3, 2025 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his wife Patsy June Boles Michaels; his grandson Patrick Michaels; and his parents, James Milan Michaels and Mae E. Lauer. He is survived by: his children, Debbie Johnson, David (Elaine Michaels) and Danny (Clarissa Michaels); his grandchildren, James Johnson, Kathy Michaels, Kelly Michaels, Katie Michaels, Anna Michaels and Stephen Michaels; and his great grandchildren, Makayla Johnson, Shea Murray, Aiden Murray and Mia Murray.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hazel Green Funeral Home (13921 US-231 #8651, Hazel Green, AL 35750). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
