Harold Phill McMurran Obituary
Harold Phill McMurran, 98, of New Market, Alabama, passed away surrounded by his Collins family, December 26, 2022 in Caraway, Arkansas – just 12 hours after his bride of 75 years passed on. He was born near Dora, AL, on June 10, 1924, to Rintha and Will McMurran. He and Mary Ruth Laird were married July 4, 1947. Harold was a member of the Calvary Bible Church in Huntsville, Alabama for many years. He was a member of the Air Force for 5 years and went to Battle of the Bulge and to the beaches of Normandy. He was a Jet Engine Mechanic for 70 + years, and enjoyed spending time with his family, taking care of his wife, and traveling.
Survivors include; son, Scott (Li) McMurran of Madison, AL; daughters, Dian Collins of Caraway, AR and Melissa (Bill) Dougherty of Arizona; Ten grandchildren; Sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and extended family.
Harold was preceded in death by: his parents; and two sisters: Mary Alice Hernandez and Beth Sumner.
The family has requested private arrangements under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
