He was predeceased by: his parents, Monroe Lee and Jenny Mae Long. He is survived by: his siblings, Edward Lee Long, Larry Paul Long and Virginia Mae Oliver; his wife Vicki Long; his children, Danny Long and Melissa King; his grandchildren, Matthew Long, Bree Welch, Amanda Childers, Caitlin King and Michelle King; his great grandchildren, Blakely, Rhiley, Hadley and Atticus; and his sister Joyce White. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
