It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carla Denise Pennington of New Market, Alabama, who passed away on July 1, 2024, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Carla's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Carla's journey be filled with peace and serenity, as her find rest in the embrace of eternity.

She is survived by: her husband Charles Pennington; her son Garrett Pennington; her sister Donna Naroz; her nephews, Aaron and David Naroz; her aunt Carolyn Wilcoxen; her uncle Rick Bird; and her cousin Mike Wood. She is also survived by many other relatives and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Flint River Baptist Church in the "General" donation section, proceeds will be directed towards the church's quilting ministry, a group Denise helped start and lead to utilize the skills of those involved to improve the lives of others with the simple act of handmade blankets and toys.
