She was predeceased by: her parents, John Perry Thorn and Hazel Bernice Welch Thorn; her sister Hazel Calvin; and her son Blake Lanier. She is survived by: her husband Jim Lanier; her daughters, Dawn Powell (Craig) and Carrie Robinson (Christopher); her grandchildren, Alexa Robinson and Cole Robinson; her brother Wayne Thorn (Anita); and her mother-in-law Adel Lanier. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and in-laws.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the New Hope Funeral Home (2500 Oak Grove Rd, New Hope, AL 35760). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New Hope Funeral Home Chapel (2500 Oak Grove Rd, New Hope, AL 35760). A burial will be held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Green Valley Cemetery (2485 Old Big Cove Rd, Owens Cross Roads, AL 35763).
