He was predeceased by: his former wife Judy Cody; his parents, Clifton R. Cody and Sallie Cora Cody; his daughter Julie Fisher; his siblings, Jane Norman, Jo Ann Terry, Marshall Cody and Herbert Junior Cody; and his granddaughters, Elizabeth Fisher and Michelle Cody.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Cody; his sons, Ricky Ray Cody and Charles David Cody; his siblings, Ruby Keel (James), Joyce Slayton, Martha Pruitt, Betty Lanier, Ervin Cody (Deborah) and Roger Cody (Carol); his grandchildren, Christopher Hand (Kara), Kristi Baker (Raymon), Melissa Cody and Tracy Cody; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Jamison, Raven, Alita, Bree, Matt, Brody and Sean; and his stepdaughter Wendy Schrimsher.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the New Hope Funeral Home (2500 Oak Grove Rd, New Hope, AL 35760). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the New Hope Funeral Home Chapel (2500 Oak Grove Rd, New Hope, AL 35760). A burial was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Walker Cemetery (32200 US-431, Grant, AL 35747).
